I am currently a PhD candidate researching emerging threats to all six species of wild cats in Suriname, including the jaguar, puma, and ocelot.

I advise ZSL’s Executive Committee and other departments on how best to represent youth voices and opinions in crucial decision-making at the Zoological Society of London to address youth concerns and foster equity and engagement.

As Vice President, I worked with the Union to enact change around campus. I conducted surveys to gauge student opinion, wrote reports on the progression of the societies and contributed to the Imperial College Newspaper (Felix) column on Silwood. During this position, I gained teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills.

I was a Research Assistant and Project Lead at Durham University’s Primate and Predator Project at the Alldays Wildlife & Communities Research Centre in South Africa. The project worked to tackle the upsurge in human-primate conflict across the Limpopo Province of South Africa. I ovesaw the data collection of two of the projects, one exploring baboon crop preference to inform farmers of which crops to divert their resources into protecting. Another project I managed was looking into the habituation of a troop of baboons to collect vital behavioural data.

I was a recipient of the ‘UFAW Animal Welfare Student Scholarship Award’. This accolade was accompanied by funding to conduct my own novel inquiry into the positive implications of environmental enrichment on housed sow. I presented my findings at UFAW's annual summit in December 2021.

I have team-leading experience as a Street based Lead Coordinator for Waltham Forest Council. I was trained to organize and manage outreach patrol teams that educated local youth on career-boosting opportunities in Waltham Forest, to lessen the rise in gang-related crime.

I have worked for Waltham Forest Council for 7 years as a Young Advisor, gaining a broad grasp of policy and decision-making. As a Young Advisor, it is your role to bridge the gap between youth and their respective local decision-makers. Within this position, I have worked to improve the delivery of local services in and around the Borough of Waltham Forest. I pushed for the modernization of the sexual health curriculum alongside Labour MP Stella Creasy and led a commission to highlight the lack of youth understanding of the housing market. I also insisted the Met Police improved the way youth violence was approached by local authorities, pressing for an early intervention strategy, an idea I gave a talk about in front of MPs and councillors at the Anti-Knife-Crime Prevention Summit.

During my time at the University of Leeds, I was a STEM ambassador, I was trained to go into schools and inform students about what a future in science may look like.

I trained as a Marine Mammal Surveyor’ for the charity ORCA. Within this role, I was trained to collect data on the sited locations of whales,dolphins, and porpoises across British waters. The data is then used by ‘ORCA’ to inform conservation policy and apply well-needed pressure on the government.

I shadowed the Principal Curator of Vertebrates at the Natural History Museum. Within this role, I gathered the morphometric data on two populations of Reed Frog that had been geographically isolated in Tanzania. The central objective of the investigation was to determine whether speciation had occurred.
