Having lived in Boston for over 6 years, Alice has a keen eye for both the sought after neighborhoods and the up and coming areas of this great city. Alice has also lived abroad in London and Dubai for close to 8 years, providing her with a strong connection to Boston's international and globally minded population.After many years in the education sector, as a 3rd grade teacher in Chicago through Teach for America and as an executive with leading education charities in England and the United Arab Emirates, Alice has now turned her prodigious passion and talents to real estate. Dubai

Worked to increase awareness of the philanthropic work; providing children in developing countries with access to quality education Dubai Cares spearheaded. Created and executed programs to engage the UAE population such as the Million Book Challenge - an event to inspire students in the UAE to read one million books in two weeks and to donate an equivalent number of books to children without access to books. Donated 1.32 million books, written in local languages, to 9 countries (Bangladesh, Cambodia, Nepal,Laos, Cambodia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, The Gaza Strip, and UAE). To ensure the program’s sustainability, libraries were constructed to house the books and teachers were trained in the administration of innovative pedagogic techniques.

Dubai

Managed the public relations for the leading education group, Taaleem, and all six of their private schools spanning nursery through secondary education. Worked to secure targeted enrollment for two newly launched schools.

London, United Kingdom

Managed 54 partnerships between major corporations and inner-city public schools and brokered activities designed to benefit students both academically and socially. Design training curriculum for tutoring partnerships and trained over 200 volunteers.

Greater Chicago Area

Taught third grade in an under-achieving school in Chicago. Adapted curriculum and created learning opportunities for students three years below grade level. Under my guidance, 15 of my students increased their reading and math levels by two years. My dedication was rewarded with the highest possible teacher rating of superior for each year. Elected to “School Based Problem Solving” team and responsible for implementing and tracking strategies to ensure students met their academic/behavioral goals or were assigned an individual education plan

Taught summer class and developed lessons for academically challenged first grade students to bridge them to the second grade.

Worked on both the mens sweaters and knits teams to develop key buying strategies for upcoming seasons.
