I am the Gaming Section Editor for Brig Newspaper, the University of Stirling's award-winning student newspaper. I organise and engage the section writers, plan content for the print editions, and design/layout the two-page spread for each print ed.

- Spent time on-site at an international airport using SQL to pull retail and customer satisfaction data into their complex data warehouse for further analysis.- Conducted workshops with key stakeholders at a university, analysing their existing CRM landscape and assessing their options for consolidation. This involved challenging their assumptions on assumed requirements. This ensured they did not purchase any additional unneeded system. I also created a comprehensive document of recommendations and findings, which allowed them to focus their CRM efforts where their users were experiencing the most pain points.- Assisted with building a data reporting funnel for a manufacturer, pulling data from their varied systems through SSRS and into PowerBI.- Worked with a large Scottish charity to build a high-level data dictionary, enabling us to perform a gap analysis of existing data provision against future requirements, highlighting that the charity had outgrown its existing platform.- Instigated Waterstons Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion initiative, working directly with the CEO and department heads to define how the business sees EDI. Engaged with the board, company founders, and staff to drive buy-in and behavioural change around hiring for diversity, internal EDI training, and business-wide awareness of issues.

I was part of a cross-functional agile feature team, working closely with other testers, developers, and the product owner to ensure the quality of the product. My role was primarily testing and automation of testing for a web app written in C#, Knockout.js, & SQL. This involved writing C# and Selenium to expand the automated test coverage and frequently using SQL for testing and verification. I was responsible for finding and documenting bugs and defects, capturing detailed reproduction steps and variables. I was also responsible for working with the product owner to understand requirements and user stories and, with this understanding, creating effective acceptance criteria and testing objectives. Then using this information for writing test cases, including detailed pre-requirements, test steps, and desired outcomes.As part of moving into a more development-focused career path, I also fixed small bugs in the app and undertook small tech and improvement tasks.

I am embarking on a new career path and a new challenge with a 16 week intensive Software Development course at CodeClan. It teaches the fundamentals of Ruby, Java, and JavaScript, as well as some HTML, CSS, and a range of frameworks. I am using the momentum of this course to also teach myself Python.

I am the senior digital marketing executive on an excellent team. I specialise in SEO, particularly on page optimisation and keyword analysis, and I work across client campaigns to generate increased organic traffic, of a more qualified nature.I am also closely involved in creating strategies for clients, generating exciting and dynamic plans for their digital marketing. I enjoy working with clients in interesting niches and developing marketing plans for traditionally difficult to market businesses. I do think that there are always interesting ways to present even the driest subjects and I relish the challenge of finding them!

My main role was to assist the owner with developing ideas, organizing and preparing, and then implementing campaigns. Broadly I can split my role into three categories - social media management, monitoring the SEO and liaising with the SEO company directly, and editorial/copy-writing. I primarily created and prepared written content for social media, email marketing, blog posts, and other areas of communication. I also communicated directly with font creators and negotiated the inclusion of their fonts on the HypeForType store.

Working with a wide variety of clients from all over the world, optimising websites and creating relevant, high quality content for them. On-going SEO support to ensure the continued success of the campaign.My role aside from client management was content based, and I enjoyed the challenges I encountered when writing about a large variety of subject areas. I prided myself on excellent use of the English language and conforming to restrictions based on the context of the piece. Aside from being the company's main copywriter, I also coordinated and managed the other copywriting activities to ensure clients get the content they required, at a consistently high quality and on time.In addition, I managed the company's social media, in particular Twitter. Engaging with clients and other businesses in the area was very rewarding and it's certainly easy to see how social media has become an increasingly important part of business.
