A highlight was working to expose a complete vessel leaning against a wall.Velika, GreeceTwo seasons working with students from the university's of Oxford and Larrissa to excavate the Classical layers of the Byzantine fortress at Velika. Carried out documentation and photography of the trench, assisted with the cataloguing of finds, and wrote the end of season trench report.APKAS Project, KytheraOne season field-walking on the island of Kythera with the Australian Paliochora Kythera Archaeological Survey (APKAS), which aimed to collect data on the evidence of the Middle and Late Bronze Age landscape of the island. Together with the Library’s Antiquarian Cataloguer, I created a project to collate information on the Classical Archaeology section of the library. This involved the analysis and documentation of binding, inscriptions, donors and subjects of books dating from the 16th to early 19th centuries, amalgamating the information into a spreadsheet. I hosted a ‘Lincoln Unlocked’ session, presenting my work and findings to students, staff and alumni.
