The New Zealand Writers Guild - Puni Taatuhi o Aotearoa is a professional association of script writers.NZWG represent the professional interests of writers in the fields of film, television, theatre, radio, comics and new media. NZWG members include most of the professional script writers working in New Zealand.NZWG are committed to working in a way that adheres to the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi.

The Screenrights Cultural Fund makes a difference by supporting people with exciting and innovative new initiatives that foster the creation and appreciation of screen content in Australia and New Zealand. The 2024 total funding pool is $300,000.

Tātaki Auckland Unlimited and Te Kawerau ā Maki, a west Auckland-based iwi, are collaborating to strengthen and expand the region’s creative industries sector through the development of Te Puna Creative Quarter, Te Kōpua Henderson. The Establishment Group will be made up of members of the creative industries sector, Auckland Council representatives, iwi, and community representatives.

Screenrights launched the Cultural Fund in recognition of the limited opportunities for unencumbered support of initiatives and projects in the screen content creation sector. Up to 1% of Screenrights’ distributable income per annum is on offer to provide funding for screen practitioners to deliver projects or initiatives that responded to the theme. The Advisory Panel comprised of 6 professionals from outside Screenrights, led by an experienced chair.
