I was responsible for the offline coordination of the program in New York City. The “Executive Education in Sustainable Fashion” Program was one-month online + one-week offline program in New York City; a joint effort between WeDesign and Yue-Sai Kan's China Beauty Charity Fund designed for fashion industry professionals and executives. The program invites C-suite and founders of fashion executives from China to spend a week in NYC to learn about successful sustainability efforts in fashion organizations and companies. Starting with a series of foundational online classes, participants arrive in NYC for a program which gives insight by leading organizations, experts and academics through a series of lectures, discussions, panels, and workshops.​This course explores 5 main topics: consumer trends in sustainability and transparency, sustainable materials, technology, regulations and policies, and sustainable manufacturing models. The program is a unique experience with people creating the future, including high-level briefings and private meetings with industry leaders, intense masterclasses exploring how to grow businesses sustainably, and behind the scenes visits to leading brands, organizations, and retailers. Participants included Vogue China's Editor in Chief, WGSN China's General Manager, China National Textile and Apparel Council Trends Department Director, Jack & Jones' Branding and Marketing Director, and other fashion and media executives.
