• Created a SaaS marketplace experience called “Explore”, complete with real pricing by SKU, browsing by category, comparing products and packages, and reviewing compliance information.• Cleaned up the information architecture of the core product to allow users to better navigate the app.• Helped refine and create components for the company’s design system.

As the lead designer for the Candidate Experience team, I collaborate with our team's PM, EM, and other stakeholders to help improve the candidate experience on Hired.com in conjunction with improving metrics for the company. Additionally I:- Led the company to switch to a better design tool for remote collaboration (Figma).- Planned and managed a week-long design sprint to synthesize user research, brainstorm diverse solutions, and create a comprehensive and manageable product plan for 2020.- Helped the company establish a design system with very limited resources.

Care.com's mission is to improve the lives of families and caregivers by connecting them in a reliable and easy way. I am part of a small, agile product team focused on helping caregivers find work on our site, as well as our mobile app.- I routinely spearhead research projects to help the company better understand our users and implement ideas that better serve them.- I help the design team refine and implement our new design system across the site and apps- I work closely with a squad of a product manager, copywriter, lead developer, and product marketer to design and ship new features and feature improvements for caregivers.

Piper is both a computer and an invention kit. It allows kids to assemble their own computer and play a Minecraft mod that guides them to craft electronics and gadgets. I contributed to the growing startup in the following ways: - Boosted sales and retention at playpiper.com by improving the UI design- Simplified the blueprint instructions for the product build- Made it possible for schools to implement the product in their classrooms with an easy-to-follow unit plan

EdSurge is a media company and thought leader in education technology. Their products consist of an edtech news platform, a jobs board, 10-15 annual edtech conferences called "Summits", several research & development projects, and an "Edtech Concierge", which aims to help schools find the appropriate technology to use with their students. As an early "Edsurgent" there, I helped the company grow in the following ways:- Improved the UX across edsurge.com, including the main navigation, the footer, and the redesign of the news platform- Used infographics to boost reader engagement for several articles on EdSurge.com- Collaborated with PMs and engineers to design and ship 2 Research and Development microsites, one for Adaptive Learning, and one called “The State of Edtech”

The Uncommon Individual Foundation is a nonprofit educational company based outside of Philadelphia, PA. There, I upgraded the user interface and experience of a multi-user web application for e-learning called "OnTrack". I also improved the product in the following ways:- Upgraded the user interface and experience of a multi-user web application for e-learning- Used Webflow to create interactive and responsive prototypes with usable code for developers- Helped the company more than quadruple their number of users with a new marketing website

Storia (formerly Selfish) is a company that makes a mobile application for social media. It aims to allow users to make visual stories and share them as publicly or privately as they choose. As a UX designer there, I helped the company in the following ways: - Used the results of user research and interviews to form a UX improvement plan consisting of storyboards, personas and user flows- Worked closely with a visual designer to create beautiful high-res mockups for the mobile application

• Mentored for Technovation: a girls group project creating Android applications for the real world • Widely implemented the use of technology in AP biology, including using Microsoft Excel to graph and evaluate trends in the Hardy Weinberg equilibrium and using BLAST, an online DNA sequencing tool.------• Developed a flipped-classroom curriculum using videos from sources such as Khan Academy for the AP biology course designed to improve critical-thinking • Met with teachers throughout the district to better fit teaching strategies, assessments, and curriculum with improved Common Core standards

• Developed and taught a new interactive, lab intensive curriculum for the animal behavior elective• Had students test out natural selection and predator prey relationships using an interactive lab program that I received a grant for called Simbio Virtual Labs
