After 15 years of leading and managing operations at a senior level for Creative Nation Limited, I am now leveraging my experience and skills to offer specialized services in project management, production and bid writing on a freelance basis. Creative East is the East of England’s regional iteration of the national Create Growth Programme, funded by DCMS and designed to stimulate the creative industries.It is a free to access investment readiness and business support programme, designed to connect creative businesses with the resources, experts and knowledge they need to grow. It has been specifically designed for ambitious creative industry businesses based in Cambridge and Peterborough, Norfolk and Suffolk. I joined the team midway through the programme and am working with two cohorts of businesses from across the region, spanning different disciplines.

I am a mentor to students and recent graduates from various departments within the University. My role is mainly to offer insight and share my experience with students who are exploring both career options and starting their own businesses. This is a voluntary (unpaid) role. I also provide employer feedback for the UEA Awards Panel. The aim of the panel is to enable employer engagement with the development of the UEA Award to ensure the skills and attributes developed by participating students continue to meet the needs of employers and to facilitate openings for employers to provide feedback and opportunities to students registered with the Award.I also support the annual Working with Words careers event within the Humanities Faculty- helping to shape the content as well as sitting on a number of panels.
