Alice Zhang is a Data Scientist at Meta at Meta. She is proficient in Spanish. Colleagues describe her as "Alice worked with me in the summer (2018) as a scientific informatics intern. She made great contributions to our project that was on drug discovery research for Alzheimer's Disease. She demonstrated great initiative and professionalism, also was able to prioritize multiple tasks that required working with different stakeholders. She formed a great team with the Neuroscience intern to process confocal microscopy images into biologically meaningful features. Then she worked with Senior Neuroscientists to explore the image features via visualizations using R programming language to help them answer research questions. Alice also has great insights into Human-Computer Interaction (HCI). She developed a comprehensive data exploration toolkit for our Neuroscientists to visually explore the image features data coming from future experiments without having to do coding themselves. For that she learnt Spotfire in a very short time and was able to develop the tool in collaboration with the Neuroscience team.
