As a bilingual service coordinator at Harbor Regional Center, I provide assistance for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families to enable them to participate in family and community life as fully as possible. I also act as an advocate for individuals with developmental disabilities in ways they can’t advocate for themselves. I also manage their case and appropriately coordinate services to fit their needs. I have a bachelor's degree in psychological science from UC Irvine, where I learned about the biological, cognitive, and social aspects of human behavior and development. I have also developed strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Outlook, which I use daily to communicate, document, and organize my work.In my previous role as an early childhood instructor at Coyne & Associates Education Corp, I applied my knowledge and passion for developmental psychology to deliver evidence-based interventions for children with autism and other developmental delays. I worked with a multidisciplinary team of professionals and assisted parents to create/deliver individualized learning plans, monitor progress, and provide feedback and support. I enjoyed collaborating with my colleagues and families to help the children achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life. I am motivated by the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of people with diverse needs and backgrounds, and I am eager to learn from and contribute to the Harbor Regional Center's mission and vision.
