After receiving my IT qualifications, I am continuing my work as an IT Technician in Wales’ largest school, providing day-to-day technical support to staff and students.

In my apprenticeship, I learned under the IT Technician team to take care of a myriad of tech jobs within the school setting, including maintaining and installing computers and computer peripheral equipment to ensure functionality; rolling out mass updates on systems including laptops, computers and tablets; creating, editing and deleting users; identifying, diagnosing and rectifying computer hardware and software issues; liaising with staff and students; organising and editing the digital signage; and upholding effective safeguarding using Securus, all while staying on top of my Halo Helpdesk tickets. My apprenticeship also required me to attend regular 'Off-The-Job' tutoring sessions and complete coursework to acquire my C&G Level 3 ICT Diploma in ICT Professional Competence and my C&G Level 3 Certificate in ICT Systems and Principles.I was nominated by my trainer at iTec Digital Training and won Skills Academy Wales' Apprentice Of The Year 2024 - an award that recognises the achievements of apprentices and employers in work-based learning programs. The awards also recognises individuals who demonstrate initiative, creativity, and a commitment to improving skills development in the Welsh economy.

I worked as a front of house member in one of the oldest pubs in Wales.

I was in charge of frequently running gin tasting masterclasses for groups of up to 35 people per session. As well as having to manage my time effectively and multitasking, I also greatly improved my public speaking and presentation skills in this role. I really enjoyed the product knowledge I learned about the various gins and tonics I used, as well as the vast history of the subject I had to study.

I was part of a function band that traveled to various events and weddings and performed. As well as being the vocalist and guitarist, I also helped set up the music equipment (PA, microphones, drum kit, amplifiers, etc) and the lighting rigs. This role sharpened my skills with client liaison, as each performance was catered to what the client wanted - prior to the performance, the planning with the client was done through email, but was sometimes added to or changed in-person at the event.

I worked in multiple departments of the bowling alley, displaying my flexible adaptability in a fast-paced environment. My roles included serving customers at reception, managing bookings, solving computer issues with the lanes during games, fixing and maintaining arcade machines, running and marshalling the laser tag games, serving at the bar, entertaining for children's parties, and cooking and serving hot food from the kitchen.

I worked as a waitress at Mettrick’s cocktail and burger restaurant ‘Vospers’.
