My journey in medicine has always been fueled by a passion for patient care and a relentless pursuit of better health outcomes. As a thoracic surgeon, I spent years navigating the intricacies of the operating room, pioneering innovative surgical techniques, and leading multidisciplinary teams. But amidst the success and accolades, I found myself increasingly drawn to a different aspect of medicine: prevention and wellness.While at the Hospital of St. Raphael, I created an Integrative Medicine program, collaborating with a variety of disciplines to enhance the wellbeing of cancer patients both inpatient and outpatient. This experience opened my eyes to the profound impact that holistic and preventative care can have on patients' lives.Driven by the desire to help patients optimize their health and reduce the risk of chronic health issues, I decided to shift my focus from surgery to wellness. In 2021, I founded Medicine for Living, LLC, a private practice dedicated to patient health optimization and root cause analysis of chronic conditions. My practice specializes in genomic testing, auricular acupuncture, and healthy lifestyle coaching. By addressing the unique health needs of each patient, I provide personalized wellness solutions that go beyond traditional medicine.My approach is simple yet effective: combine evidence-based medical practices with a down-to-earth, relatable style.
