Oversee a team of nurse reviewers that apply clinical knowledge, evidence-based research, and medical policy into the utilization review process. I was actively involved in department activities, transdisciplinary team activities, and activities to ensure individualized, patient-centered health care for all patient populations. Maintained and modeled effective working relationships with hospital employees, medical staff, patients, families, and visitors; Provided leadership in developing performance standards for all nursing personnel. Evaluated and counseled all employees on their performance in a professional and timely manner. Responsible for department’s financial performance that included monitoring and controlling resource utilization and expenditures, while ensuring adherence to operating budget and budgeted hours (HPPD). Planed, organized, and coordinated department functions and activities to achieve objectives and comply with regulatory standards and requirements.
