About Alicia Lui

I care deeply about sustainable development, in particular achieving gender equality, physical, emotional and mental health, sports for development, inclusive and resilient communities and climate action.In January 2017 I founded Women in Sports Empowered Hong Kong ("WISE"), a sports-focused non-profit to use sports as a tool for women's and girls' empowerment. We believe in the power of sports to accelerate leadership skills that enable women and girls to advance their impact in their community. As founder, I work with our team of volunteers and organising committee members to oversee and deliver on our programs, marketing, communications, partnerships and collaborations to meet our our strategy, mission and objectives. Sporty Girl Journals features:- Stories of 10 athletes in Hong Kong and imparts the lessons gained from participation - Activities that encourage readers to dream big and bold on and off the sports field- Journaling to facilitate reflection on the challenges and achievements on and off the sports fieldAside from personal development and women's and youth empowerment, I am an advocate of sustainable development. I care deeply about living in a just world where we live responsibly and consciously. I've been a mentor for a Social Justice Fellowship, in 2022 I started mentoring teens for their project to bring sport activities to underprivileged children.
