- Sourcing of equipment, materials, supplies and services to obtain the best possible price, taking into consideration availability, supplier reliabiltiy, and quality of the finished product.- Investigate and resolve purchase order/contract variations and initiate solutions to minimize any subsequent variations- Source consistently for improved and/or less costly materials within the assigned product grouping and refer results for customer approval and quality acceptance of those items considered as better value for money- Communicate supply policies and procedures to all customers and vendors- Monitor all open orders, expedite deliveries and obtain customer/engineering/quality approval for alternative solutions if the requisitioned material is unavailable to meet original schedule- Maintaining regular contact with Finance to ensure that the Purchase to Pay cycle runs smoothly
