Throughout my life, I have faced many obstacles and have had to undergo difficult situations alone. My circumstances have led me with the desire to prevent others from enduring the same fates that I had to, by getting both a law and medical degree with specialties relating to underprivileged children and the terminally ill. With the turmoil I have faced over the years, I’ve grown as highly independent individual. The experiences that have led me to my true passions have also shaped me to be a strong-willed, highly candid woman who isn’t afraid to stand alone if that’s what it takes to make an impact.Becoming a lawyer empowers me to make a difference in peoples’ lives and shape their futures, setting them up for a better life moving forward. As a student at Texas Tech, studying Business Management and Sociology gives me the opportunity to achieve my career goals and gain a deeper understanding of the world that surrounds us.Along with the fervor I have gained in legal studies and medicine, I have developed a love for volunteering and photography. I have been able to cultivate these skills and apply them to my professional career as well.Volunteering has taught me leadership, which has translated into the classroom, as I am unafraid of any task and the first to speak up in most situations. I am not afraid to stand alone if that's what it takes to make a change.Photography has made me look at situations from a multitude of perspectives, to find the best solution to a problem and to look at things in a new light, leaving me open-minded to things I may not completely understand.These skills, will not go away and will follow me through the rest of my professional career, and will continue to be cultivated for the rest of my life. I am passionate about the things that I love and my determination, drive, and ambitions are what propel me forward and guarantee I’ll get the job done.
