Full-time trainee teacher under the Schools Direct program working towards achieving QTS status and a PGCE certificate. The initial two months were integral as I was shadowing and observing various experienced teachers across both key stages. Since November have taken complete control of a year 1 class and my detailed preparation has proven vital to my success in the role. I have combined the day-to-day/termly duties of a class teacher with my online studies, showcasing impressive time management skills to juggle a busy working life. I have received positive feedback of my teaching style from students, colleagues and parents alike. I have greatly enjoyed my time at Cooks Spinney and enjoy the process of overseeing childrens' educational development. Duties of the role include:- Teaching all areas of the primary curriculum.- Taking responsibility for the progress of a class.- Organising the classroom and learning resources to encourage a positive learning environment.- Planning, preparing and presenting lessons that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within their class.- Motivating pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation.- Maintaining discipline.- Marking work to facilitate positive pupil development.- Meeting requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils' development.- Providing feedback to parents and carers on a pupil's progress.- Coordinating activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum.- Working with others to plan and coordinate work.- Keeping up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum.- Organising and taking part in school events.

Part-time, voluntary work at a school specialised for SEN students. During my final year of university, I knew that it would be beneficial to me before my graduation if I worked in a learning environment that I hadn't previously experienced. I worked as a part-time teacher assistant where I was commended on my demeanour and interactional skills. Duties included:- Work and ensure safety and well-being of SEN students.- Getting the classroom ready for lessons.- Listening to children read.- Helping children who need extra support to complete tasks.- Helping teachers to plan learning activities and complete records.- Supporting teachers in managing class behaviour.- Supervising group activities.- Carrying out administrative tasks.

An intern position where I added to my skillset as I was tested in many different areas of a tough, competitive industry. Looked to develop the skills that would help increase my employability and my ability to adapt to a different working environment. Working with the highly skilled and experienced team at CPS was a great experience.

Represented the university at internal and external event where knowledge of the university, it's courses and city appeal were vital in order to properly convey the potential BNU has.Regularly had to liaise with students, lecturers and administrative staff and show initiative in the creation of resources.Proudly, I was often one of the first ambassadors to be asked for various roles throughout my time at the university.

My first role as a teacher was one that taught me a lot and helped me grow as a person. I had worked extensively as a sports coach but this post really showed me the life of a teacher. Worked successfully as part of a three man team that headed up the Physical Education department. I was regularly in charge of full classes which required excellent communication skills in what was a challenging environment. Ability to work with various characters was essential.Initially, it was a one year role but upon request I agreed to return for a second year.

Youth Team Analyst. Head analyst for the academy youth team. Required filming WWFC U18 games and training sessions. Strict work environment. Involved then coding film using computer software for coaches and players to analyse performance. Meeting deadlines and requirements under pressue was necessary.

Role at a summer camp for EFL students who wanted to partake in different sporting activities and improve their language skills. Enjoyed my time there where I would implement the coaching plan as agreed with the Head Coach.Agreed to return the next summer due to the enjoyment I took and the establishment being impressed with my performance. Duties included:- To prepare for each session and to maintain session plan.- To ensure risk assessments are taking into account and sessions are being delivered safely.- To complete a written report for each student of your group at the end of each week.- To help the Head Coach ensure that all activity equipment is kept in good condition and is stored away safely after each session.- To carry out mealtime supervision at least once a week, as directed by the Centre Manager.- Assist with the evening events programme.- To carry out mealtime supervision, wake-up and bedtime duties on a rota basis, which includes being responsible for the bed and fire registers.

My first official role working with children across different primary schools. Learnt how to properly implement plans and the importance preparation is to the success of a session. My passion for sport and teaching was evident from the type of learning environment I established.
