I am currently a sophomore at Indiana University, pursuing a major in management. I chose management because it allows me to use my passion for creativity. I have demonstrated these strengths throughout many of my high school experiences and into my time at Indiana University. Beginning in High School, I was apart of DECA which taught me how to problem solve and adapt to various situations. In addition to this, I was captain of my high school Gymnastics team my senior year. This position taught me the importance of communication and what it means to be a leader for over 30 girls.Now at Indiana University, I continue to seek new opportunities to expand my skill set in both personal and professional ways. I have been involved in several organizations on campus such as Indiana Dance Marathon, Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority, and Phi Gamma Nu Business Fraternity. Through these organizations I had the opportunity to work with new individuals from every different background. We are able to share our experiences, values, cultures, and perspectives, and I am grateful for these relationships. I have gained a deeper understanding of empathy, teamwork, and the importance of embracing differences. I feel part of a strong IU community that lifts each other up.I aspire to expand my engagement by increasing my volunteer commitments with organizations that hold personal significance to me, and by connecting with like-minded individuals who share my dedication to hard work. I continue to learn new skills that help me throughout my courses and value the importance of peers and professors. Knowing that I am surrounded by people who want to help and see me succeed motivates me to strive towards my goals and gain new achievements.
