My research efforts were concentrated on analyzing industry structures, assessing competitive advantages, estimating reinvestment opportunities, and interviewing company executives. By synthesizing financial data and constructing detailed financial models, I was able to ascertain a probabilistic array of a company’s intrinsic value. Furthermore, I quantified downside risk by conducting detailed balance sheet analysis as well as by running worst-case scenario stress testing. 90% of my recommendations were implemented and I consistently outperformed my benchmark by 600+ basis points for nearly six years. Notable progressions included my advancement to Global Sector Analyst – Consumer Staples for the value strategy with $5+ billion AUM, within 6 months of hire, and subsequently undertaking responsibility for Global Consumer Discretionary that totaled 25% of all portfolio exposure.
