I am a researcher dedicated towards facilitating human rights approaches to conflict resolution. As part of this pursuit, I seek opportunities to contribute to the documentation, accountability and aid efforts of non-governmental/nonprofit, civil society and human rights organizations.Previous human rights/non-profit experience includes research/editing assistance for human rights reports in post-civil war Sri Lanka, legal research for transitional justice mechanisms in Pakistan, fieldwork research for survivors of state sanctioned violence, and designing campaigns/community initiatives to end FGM. As a professional research assistant, I’ve helped build digital databases, researched/edited journal articles and book chapters, recruited volunteers and fundraised to cover cost deficits really fast. The growing integration of technology in human rights research fascinates me. I am currently learning how to use open source intelligence tools/softwares for human rights monitoring and weapon identification. On a lighter note, I can fix slow wifi networks, install ceiling lights and make some solid drywall.
