As Program Director, I oversaw the the progress and execution of over 50 scholarships and service-learning programs in the Programs Portfolio. In this role, I developed and implemented effective procedures and protocols in establishing, administering, and reporting programs. I cultivated relationships with funders, program partners, administrative leadership at healthcare and academic institutions, national associations, NMF alumni and other key stakeholders. I provided effective supervision of program coordinators to ensure programmatic activities are completed as intended and outlined by the program funder, and assigns projects/tasks as appropriate. Additionally, I co-led authorship of grant proposals, progress reports, and final reports for scholarships and programs, including new prospective programs and the renewal of existing programs.

As Program Manager, I oversaw the day-to-day execution of current NMF scholarships and service-learning programs. I managed and increased recruitment efforts across scholarships and programs. I provided direct communication to over 1,500 students during the applications process, and administered effective procedures for programs that met or exceeded the funding partners’ requirements. For each program, I was responsible for collecting and summarizing all programmatic and evaluation data for reporting program impact. As part of my role, I also maintained relationships with high-level technical advisors and key contacts at partner institutions, such as medical, nursing, and other health professional training programs, and national associations. Additionally, I integrated programs with alumni partners and directed NMF's Young Leadership Council.

I served as Principal Investigator and Authorized Official of a $900,000/yr TAA grant with the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), to develop and maintain a national public health resource center for children with Tourette Syndrome and Tic Disorders. In this role, I provided executive oversight of the planning for and operations of program activities. This included determining target goals and action steps, as well as monitoring the progress of and ensuring execution of the project timeline and work plan. I supervised the project staff and assigned projects/tasks as appropriate. I also directed the production of all project media, including training videos, tool kits, and webinars. As Director, I was responsible for leading the communications about the grant with the TAA-CDC Department, TAA leadership staff, other TAA staff, the CDC Technical Assistance Team, external partner organizations, and other key stakeholders. Additionally, I made executive decisions regarding the program, based on data from multiple program sources, including program process and impact evaluation data. I led the grant and report writing for the project that were submitted to the office of grants management at CDC and the Technical Assistance team. I was also tasked with managing the program budget and ensuring activities align with the strategic plan of TAA. Notable Accomplishments at TAA: • Engineered the way TAA delivers education and trainings by going digital, leveraging the program by building partnerships, and reaching the TS community all around the country (including rural areas).• Key to renewing a $3,600,000 grant with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and maintaining the grant status through innovative programming and continuous reporting.• Received 2 promotions within 3 years (Senior Project Developer, Program Director)

As Project Developer (Oct 2013 - Sept 2014) and Senior Project Developer (Sept 2014 - Oct 2015), I developed over 60 professional education programs to educate to physicians, clinicians, educators, and other allied-professionals about Tourette Syndrome (TS), diagnosis, treatment, and management. I coordinated and ensured onsite implementation of professional programs across the country. In this role, I coordinated the conceptualization, production, dissemination, and evaluation of educational resources and health communication across various platforms. I also provided direct operational and program support to the TAA Executive Vice President. Part of the position also included prepared grant proposals and program reports for CDC program team, congressional partnership, and TAA executive board meetings. I analyzed program activity impact through process evaluations and pretest/posttest surveys, as well as managed program schedules and material requests. Additionally, I exhibited at national and regional professional conferences in the medical and education field to disseminate accurate and authoritative partnership resources and program information.

In my role as Public Health Program Associate, I oversaw the daily data collection activities for a major randomized-controlled trial Healthy Homes, Healthy Families, including file assignment and review, interviews and mailings. I performed quality control of interviews for technique and accuracy and provided interview feedback, as well as trained new interviewers on conducting interviews and study protocol. Over the course of the study, I conducted over 300 phone interviews with Health Homes, Healthy Families study participants.I created and updated databases for program tracking and cross checking purposes. I also had the wonderful opportunity to co-author 2 manuscripts (which are now published) and prepare submissions to the Institutional Review Board (IRB). As Program Associate, I also coordinated and facilitated bimonthly research meetings and provided data collection updates. Additionally, I organized EPRC events and provided operational support to the Center director, and processed expense reports and invoices for the EPRC staff and research projects.

As a graduate research assistant on the Healthy Homes, Healthy Family project, I conducted interviews and cleaned survey data. I also provided additional support to the Research Team Lead.

As Research Interviewer, I conducted over 80 interviews with residents and staff for the study of Resident-to-Resident Elder Mistreatment in Long Term Care Facilities. As part of the data collection process, I utilized 5 different data collection instruments to assess cognitive ability, memory, range of motion, personal activities of daily living, interactions with other residents, etc. I also was tasked with conducting observations of residents and reporting incidents of abuse.
