• Run safe, engaging programming for ~4300 annual campers, adults, outreach participants, and school groups, while navigating a steep increase in participation since 2020 (around double!)• Manage staff and instruction of group classes, private lessons, adaptive boating, outreach experiences, and trips aboard our 37' floating classroom• Ensure our organization follows all ACA, US Sailing, and local regulations regarding safety for children and adults on the water• Working with science staff, develop PBCB as a destination for school trips, community workshops, and STEM instruction for participants of all ages

• Worked as part of a small team to craft and conduct experiments, maintain malaria parasite cultures, and investigate malarial invasion in sickle cell disease patient blood.• Explored the complex relationship between fetal hemoglobin level, environmental oxygen, and sickle cell status that contributes to parasitemia.

• Generated acknowledgement letters, processed fund and donor data, and served as a flexible team member.• Used a range of tools every day including Salesforce, FoundationPower, LexisNexis, Outlook, and Guidestar.

• Oversaw staff caring for day campers ages 6 - 17 and transported campers on Cape Cod bay as USCG Launch Tender.• Delegated responsibilities including sailing instruction, equipment maintenance, instruction of other water sports, and camper supervision to waterfront staff and high school Leaders in Training.• Served as a mentor and caretaker for campers, especially participants in the Leaders in Training program.

• Conducted research and data analyses (using JMP software) to better understand the relationship between pigment concentration, leaf appearance, and habitat in Costa Rican bromeliads.• Designed a protocol for measuring chlorophyll and anthocyanin concentrations, which was used to compare leaf discs collected from individuals of differing colors and patterns, and those taken from throughout individual leaf patterns.

• Informed national park management through student-driven field work and research of invasive aquatic snail species, butterfly behavior/species distribution, and aquatic invertebrate abundance as an indicator of stream health.• Practiced techniques including plant identification, diversity surveys, data analyses, and experimental design.

• Identified Amynthas earthworm specimens, cared for colonies, recorded morphological earthworm data, and conducted experiments to explore this invasive genus’ tolerance range in terms of temperature, moisture, and seasonal change.

• Collected earthworm specimens, sequenced DNA, and used GenBank to build phylogenetic trees that distinguished invasive Amynthas earthworm populations in North America.• Speculated the progression of earthworm invasion, based on phylogeny, to inform potential future conservation efforts.
