Ever since I was a little kid, I have always been fascinated by computers. Growing up I knew I would end up working with them, I just wasn't sure in what aspect. I tried every option I could find seeing what I liked best. From Photoshop, 3D modeling and animation, producing musical beats, and gaming, I tried them all.After years of trying to find my niche, I came across programming and instantly knew that’s what I wanted to do. I quickly became obsessed with it and although no programming classes were offered at my high school, I wasn't going to let that stop me. I scoured the web for websites and books that would help me learn and began teaching myself right away. I started with JavaScript as I thought it would be helpful with web development but shortly after found Python and fell in love with its simplicity. I was lucky enough that Python was also the language first taught at the University of Northern Iowa where I attended so I quickly excelled having already a very strong base with it. After advancing through my academic career I wanted to broaden my knowledge learning another programming language that was more suited for creating applications with user interfaces and not just console based. I found that C# was the best option for me. Not only did this allow me to create user interfaces using XAML within WPF applications, C# was also the language used within the Unity program for creating video games. This also let me experiment with game development and is something that I will continue to pursue today.When I'm not working you can find me training at the gym as I am also a professional MMA fighter. I am often teased about this unusual combination of being a computer programmer as well as a professional MMA fighter, but I love challenging myself in many aspects- this being one of them. I also love being outdoors. From riding bike and hiking, I love being active outdoors. When I do manage to find any other free time, I am also a self-taught guitarist in which I love to play. What is unique about me is that I love learning new things. Whether that be a new skill or ability like a programming language, learning a new song on guitar, or just beneficial knowledge like a better understanding of the stock market or mastering personal finance- I am a lifelong learner.Strengths: Detail oriented, organized, quick learner, and time managementDevelopmental Skills: C#, ASP.NET, XAML, Python, SQL/TSQL, SQL Service Broker, and SSIS
