CurrentI am a college admissions consultant, offering advice to students in East and Southern Africa applying to colleges in the UK, U.S., Canada, and Europe. I guide students and parents through the process of the college search, identifying which universities will be the best fit, and counselling them through the application process. Students I have worked with have received offers of admission and scholarships from the Ivy Leagues, public universities and liberal arts colleges. • Mentoring students from East and Southern Africa and the Middle East in college planning and applications to local and foreign universities, through student-centred, personalised programs. • Developing strategies for students to leverage their academic and personal potential, analysing individual requirements and strengths to create ‘best fit’ college lists, and helping craft compelling applications. • Established a reputation and proven track record of success: 100% student acceptance rate to the Ivy Leagues, public universities and liberal arts colleges, with over 90% getting into one of three top choice colleges, and 70% receiving financial aid. • Responsible for securing over USD 6 million in merit-based scholarships (including 2 Lester B. Pearson Scholarships at the University of Toronto, Richard D Cohen Scholarship at Boston University, Founders’ Scholarship at Syracuse University, Presidential Scholarship at Drake University, the ILOT Scholarship at the University of British Columbia, and a 100% need-based scholarship at Amherst College).
