Project Manager of a Model Based Definition Enterprise project to move towards paperless manufacturing. The project includes manipulating CAD data to hold all the requirements that a paper drawing used to have. This 3D data is then passed to the manufacturing floor where they work to a model not a paper drawing. This has lead to a successful implementation of models being used for manufacturing and currently we are working forward to expand the model based approach to Manufacturing Bill of Materials planning.

As lead engineer at SSL I was responsible for managing the overall mechanical layout design of an entire satellite. In my role I was required to take all of the system engineering requirements and implement them into the CREO CAD models to make sure the configuration will work for all the subsystems together. This required a lot of cross functional collaboration and intricate design space implications. To do this, I have to leverage my project management skills to keep on schedule and process the communication/collaboration between groups. • Lead Configuration Engineer for servicing satellite Restore-L & communication satellite BSAT-4a for satellite design and systems configuration. Accountable for program schedule integrity and managing interdepartmental handoffs. Direct and oversee work of designers - new and experienced.• Lead Configuration Engineer for communication satellite Echostar XVIII through the spacecraft assembly build on the manufacturing floor, supporting integration.

Mechanical engineering role in the Spacecraft Configuration Design department. Use of CREO Parametric to design the layout and interconnects of the spacecraft. Experience creating large assemblies, large assembly drawings and supporting the design through the manufacturing floor. An important aspect of the position included understanding the systems engineering requirements.
