Over five years, the Feed the Future Egypt Rural Agribusiness Strengthening Project aims to enhance the competitiveness of the Egyptian economy through horticulture sector growth. By applying a market-driven, systems-strengthening approach, the project will improve the industry's ability to meet domestic and international buyer demand, securing employment and increasing agriculture-related incomes of farmers.•Increase average incomes of more than 100,000 small farmers.•Double the incomes of a minimum of 25,000 small farmers.•Create 14,000 sustainable full time equivalent jobs in agri-businesses.•Improve agricultural water-use efficiency over 22,200 hectares.•Ensure at least 50,000 wheat farmers apply more efficient water, fertilizer, and chemicals.•Leverage $7.5 million dollars through partnerships with Egyptian firms and agricultural organizations.As a monitoring and evaluation specialist my main responsibilities includes:•Analyze project data to assess progress towards objectives, identify trends and patterns, and inform decision-making.•Participate in designing and implementing appropriate data collection tools (surveys, interviews, observations) aligned with project objectives.•Work closely with the MEL Lead and Communication Leads to develop insightful and comprehensive reports on project progress.•Oversee the data collection and data entry process, ensuring adherence to protocols and data quality standards.•Support the MEL lead to update PITT, PIRS and filed guide as well as developing checklists of data collection.•Ensure data integrity and accuracy within the MIS by implementing data validation and cleaning procedures.•Effectively identify and resolve data discrepancies and challenges to ensure accuracy and reliable reporting.•Provide ongoing training and support to project personnel on using the MIS effectively.•Supervise implementation of surveys.

Building Resilient Food Security Systems to Benefit the Southern Egypt Region Project funded by World Food Program aims to improve food security in Upper Egypt by building resilience to climate change and variability. It targets farmers in five governorates of Upper Egypt. The project involves training farmers on climate-smart agriculture techniques, developing infrastructure for growing new varieties and breeding livestock and poultry, mobilizing communities and building their capacity to cope with climate change, and raising awareness and advocacy on adaptation strategies. As an Administrative Assistant my main responsibilities are:•Liaise with agricultural associations to schedule meetings, compile activity reports, and facilitate communication channels.•Collaborate with associations to plan and execute public events, including booking venues, managing attendee RSVPs, and handling event materials.•Assist Master Trainers with logistical needs, including travel arrangements, meeting setup, and material preparation.•Prepare and deliver clear, concise weekly reports on project progress and achievements, keeping stakeholders informed.•Assist with gathering and organizing financial documents for loan applicants, maintaining records, and providing administrative support to the loan evaluation process.
