Negotiate rates with carriers on weekly/monthly basis. Planning and booking cargos through our liners and forwarders. Research and procure liner/forwarders quotations; provide recommendations to manager Participate in all budget and forecast activity related to import Operations Managing daily operations through the shipment tracker Insure that all priority/urgent shipments are shipping consistently based on expectation Manage carrier demurrage and file shipping instructionAdditional Responsibilities: Handling team of 6 people (Purchase team, Pre-shipping Documents, Post-shipping Documents) Planning and implementing shipping/tracking of goods and coordinating their full order cycle Checking daily reports of team members and discussing on reports Helping team members with their queries and giving solutions Taking weekly meeting to discuss the process knowledge, appreciating the team members who are giving best in their work, discussing the queries, issues they are facing and finding solutions and giving proper solutions Developing, guiding team members, and providing feedbacks and recommendations for improvement in importation process Closely monitoring the whole importation process Raising SAP related issues to SAP team and coordinating with them to find solutions for team members for system friendly Providing support to all team members for process knowledge and setting SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) Ensure the team follows all established procedures. Provide feedback to employees and assist them with difficult tasks  Understands basic managerial approaches for work direction, motivation, and disciplinary action Support and maintain on going documentation of import process related to daily functions Listen to supplier/customers queries where they are facing difficulties and giving proper solutions and maintaining good relationship with them for better business
