About Alina A.

My goal has always been to bring a significant contribution toward improving patients' lives. I started my journey in Clinical Research at the University of Bucharest by extensively studying Biochemistry, I became passionate about oncology, so my thesis was focused on BRCA 1 and 2 markers to determine a large-scale screening method in the general population for breast cancer. Nowadays, this is an approved test people can undergo to determine their probability to develop breast cancer. After graduation, I joined a pharmaceutical company as I felt I can bring solutions closer to patients with cardiovascular diseases and I succeeded in my role being promoted to a Specialist position in less than 2 years. I took on additional opportunities in a Task Force dedicated to Psychiatry to increase my knowledge in the therapeutic area while aligned with my mission to bring people together and facilitate the exchange of scientific information. My journey continued on a different continent and I challenged myself every day to get to do what I am really good at, which is connecting people to find better solutions together.
