As part of the Berlin Fellowship 2023 of Humanity in Action, we reflected on Germanys colonial past and its implication for social (in)justice(s) and Germany's culture of rememberance throughout history until today.

In my fifth semester, I participated in Dr. Hanne Cuyckens' Research Project on "Education for Sustainable Development: A State of Literature" by researching the role the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can play in curriculum design and the impact they can have.

TThe World Class The Hague is an initiative of the municipality of The Hague and connects students from different universities in The Hague. World Class has enabled me to attend lectures held by professionals from various fields to reflect on the theme of Peace and Global Justice. My favourite lecture was held by the cyber security expert Erik de Jong who sparked my interest in information security.

I have chaired the 'Race and Ethnicity' Committee at Leiden University College for one year and have managed a team of 6 fellow students to organize social and advocacy events centered around themes of intersectionality, cultural diversity, decoloniality, and inclusion. Meanwhile, I have been the student point-of-contact for the student community for anything related to Race and Ethnicity.

Under the supervision of Dr. Kai Hebel, I conducted research with two fellow students on Qatar`s soft power strategy (focus on Qatar hosting the FIFA World Cup in 2022).

For nine months I worked as an AuPair for a family with three children in Madrid, Spain while improving my proficiency in the Spanish language.

For two years I taught a modern/contemporary class every week where I created a weekly choreography for dance students who were between 13 and 20 years old.
