Alina Donahue is an ardent advocate for survivors of human trafficking and is highly regarded as a leader among her colleagues in the field.In 2020, she served as co-creator of The Shelly Stayer Shelter’s Human Trafficking Residential Program in Immokalee, FL. One of Alina's most rewarding pursuits was helping female inmates address addiction and mental health challenges. Her own harrowing experience of overcoming sex trafficking has inspired numerous incarcerated women to come forward and share their own stories of having been victims of trafficking.She has trained hundreds of law enforcement officers, including local, state and federal officials on how to identify domestic human trafficking. She proudly supports all law enforcement agencies, including the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, INTERCEPT Taskforce, Department of Homeland Security and other like agencies. Alina is a proud graduate of the Associate Leadership Collier Class of 2018 and the Leadership Collier Class of 2024. In 2021, Naples Illustrated recognized her as one of the Top 100 Ones to Watch for her achievements as a young, minority community leader. Most recently in 2024, Alina was recognized as a recipient of the prestigious Gulfshore Business 40 Under 40 award. Her go to motto? "If the answer is no, you are speaking to the wrong person."-Alina
