I began working for the City of Markham in 2017. I initially started off as a lifeguard and swimming/lifesaving instructor and eventually expanded my skill set to work as a shift supervisor. As a pool supervisor, I lead and coordinate a team of 10 lifeguards. Supervising club training as well as national level events on a weekly basis. I communicate with all stakeholders throughout the events to ensure satisfaction and fulfillment of the tasks. Over the summer after my second year of university, I got the opportunity to do an internship at Trotta Law as a Legal Intern. I coordinated and managed a database of files. I also provided support to various legal professionals including lawyers and paralegals to assist through legal cases and projects. Some of the tasks included keeping track of meeting minutes, monitoring tasks and fielding inquiries from clients. I actively identified and sought out opportunities to improve the overall process and workflow. Additional tasks included:- Managing communication with clients, clinics, and other law firms to ensure the completeness and accuracy of all documentation.

I joined RecTec in the beginning of 2019 after observing as a lifeguard and getting interested in the projects run by the company. I was able to quickly pick up the necessary skills and apply my knowledge and experience with computer programs. I coordinated and led several projects, including developing new project documents and work-back schedules. Some other responsibilities included:- assisting with the daily communication from clients and passing the feedback onto the rest of the team- generating weekly status reports and ensuring all deliverables were hitting milestones and meeting deadlinesI have also proposed and implemented a new procedure to close down projects which increased overall team efficiency by 20% over 6 months.
