My role at Sir Speedy was a diverse one. Starting in customer service at the beginning of my career with Sir Speedy, I have excelled to the position of Marketing & Sale Support Manager. Among the many duties I have and continue to perform are:- Project Management- Search Engine Optimization- Account Management- Order Processing- Marketing- Customer Support/Relations- Office managementAmong many others.

During my semester-long internship at the Dishman Art Museum I was able to get hands on experience in all aspects of running and managing an art museum from cataloging works of art, gallery up-keep, and installing exhibits. I was part of a team responsible for such duties. Among the hospitality duties performed were greeting visitors, answering any questions they may have had, working exhibitions and ensuring events were set-up and progressed according to plan. This was an amazing opportunity that put me in direct contact with artists and their work with the rare ability to discuss their works being exhibited. Among the highlights of my internship was helping to organize an art auction as part of a fundraising Gala that featured artists from all across the region.

Returning to Bungalow after leaving for school, I resumed my role as store manager supervising 2-5 employees directly. As a retail and customer focused business, it was my responsibility to give input based on recent trends and projected seasonal events in order to stock products that were in keeping with the store's environment and client base while expanding to attract new business. Day-to-day operations included things such as opening and closing the store, employee training (including in depth product knowledge), merchandise displays/store upkeep and, of course, sales. Within two years of opening, the store was the top regional retailer in Trollbeads (a fine jewelry line) and had consistently exceeded monthly sales goals.

As a sales associate and later store manager, I was able to further my exceptional customer service skills by selling a wide range of items, from body care to apparel and children's toys to high end jewelry. Interacting with customers from the moment they enter the store to closing the sale and bagging their items to exemplify a truly personalized shopping experience. As a small, locally-owned boutique in the historic downtown district of Galveston Island where tourism is paramount, providing a unique experience was rewarding both professionally and personally.

The various responsibilities of working at Bath & Body Works meant that I was able to work in all departments from sales, check-outs, stocking, inventory management (on and off site) and even floor sets. As a senior employee, during peak holiday times I was either cashier lead or supervising the stock room. The high service standards and corporate exactitude gave me a solid base for customer service that I have built on over the years.
