Alina Srichinda was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. Being a neighborhood based city, Chicago has allowed her to experience different cultures with each passing hour. Her life journey began in Lincoln Square and has traveled to Uptown, South Loop, Humboldt Park and further. She was constantly engulfed by different people and styles and learned from them all. She first became interested in fashion by her grandmother. Each weekend, from the age of four to ten, she would go to thrift stores to find clothing to donate to the Philippines, which is where her father’s mother is from. When she found clothes for herself her grandmother taught her how to sew and tailor them to fit her. She spent her childhood filling notebooks with design ideas and filling her room with fabric. When she was older her parents auditioned her to be apart of, what is now called, Ford Modeling Agency. This experience not only strengthened her love of fashion, but also showed her the many different sides to this industry. She was able to experience the processes of designing, styling, and production of clothed. Every photoshoot for her was a dream. In seventh grade she was accepted into Whitney Young High School Academic Center. Here she was given the opportunity to take textile and fashion classes. From there, she started to become more active in the fashion scene in Chicago. Her clothes have been featured in The Chicago History Museum and The Chicago Fashion Festival 2014 & 2015. A dress of hers has also won a Illinois High School Innovator award in 2015. In 2016, she was accepted into Savannah College of Art and Design and currently studies Fashion Marketing and Management.
