During the summer of 2012 I assisted the School Nutrition Director in developing new breakfast and lunch menus for the county's schools. The goal of this project was do apply the new regulatory requirements for nutrition standards established by the USDA into the Dawson County School System. Through this process I worked side by side with the Nutrition Director and the head cafeteria manager for the county and developed new menus that would not only help to peak the students appetite but give them balanced, nutritional dense meals.
