Director responsible for the relationship management with over 40 companies based in the Technological Park in São Leopoldo, the Business Incubator, and the UNITEC’s Management Office witch provides support to startups, small and mid-size companies concerning revenue income, internal process, accounting, agreements and business management.In the segment of companies and entities relationship, I actively participated in the dealings that brought SAP, Stefanini and HCL to the Tech Park in São Leopoldo.

I acted as a CIO responsible for the entire IT area at UNISINOS, which was made up of 4 departments, featuring a staff of around 80 people who keep the system that provide support to manage and run Unisinos, by managing computer labs and the whole IT infra structure, with over 4,000 desktops, 100+ servers and more than 30,000 users. I was responsible for changes that improved the operational efficiency, which resulted in a huge annual saving.

I managed a project team that held up to 140 members, among technicians and users, divided in 15 teams (sub-projects). We implemented more than 40 ERP Peoplesoft modules in just 18 months (from Sep/2003 to Feb/2005) serving to all business support and process of UNISINOS, such as teaching management, finance, support, research management, and staff management. We also implemented a set of tools of Business Intelligence and a customized Web Portal which covers every solution given by the Project. In the same period we also replaced the Library system by implementing the Fiscal software and we replaced the agenda systems and corporate mail, connecting them to the Portal and to ERP.This implementation is a world “case” for Oracle/Peoplesoft due to its record time (18 months) in which over 40 ERP PeopleSoft modules were implemented.

Management of the Data and System Integration Dept, that was responsible for the following areas::• Data Warehouse: project and implementation of Warehouses and systems of Data Warehousing;• Data Management: corporate database management, definition of modeling and usage rules, consultancy in data modeling, logical project of database;• Object Management: object class library management, definition of modeling and usage rules, consultancy in system modeling object-oriented techniques.• Security Management: definition, application, and policy and rules audit.

I perform jobs such as:a) participation in system development, providing methodology and modeling guidance and evaluating the system before its implementation;b) participation in the selection, evaluation, and implementation of software by contractors;c) research on new system project and analysis methodologies;d) participation in network and system security planning;e) follow-up/evaluation of data base creation and modification;f) responsible for spreading SQL culture and training.

I led several systems development teams and I conducted analysis and project of systems making use of Structure Analysis and Data Analysis methodologies, using CASE tools.• From Nov/1989 to June/1991: I led a team, composed of analyst and programmers, that in 18 months developed 4 systems (Cataloging, Lending, Office, Suppliers) to computerize the University’s Libraries.• From July/1991 to Sep/1994: I led a team, composed of analyst and programmers, that developed the Student Charging system; in the same period I also led the team which provided maintenance to system in the Administration area;• From Oct/1994 to May/1995: I led a team which developed the Trainee Central Control system (CCE), based on the philosophy server-client, with front-end in micro, back-end in mainframe.

• On-Line systems development, in mainframe, with DMSII data base, fourth generation language; performing tasks of programming and analysis; • Technical course instructor.

Director of ESICenter Brasil, which is a Software Quality Excellence Center, operating in partnership with the European Software Institute (ESI) of Bilbao, Spain, and UNISINOS University, São Leopoldo-RS, Brazil.It provides consultancy and training services based on CMMI Model and also evaluation (“certification”) services based on the same reference Model.

I did consultancy in software quality, using CMM (Capability Maturity Model) to companies located in the States of RS and MG, acting also in partnership projects with the European Software Institute.In this period, I also participated of activities concerning pre-sale and sale of projects to target-companies.
