Providing residential care needs to elderly people by:• Leading the shift and managing performance of other team members.• Supervising care assistants, ensuring their effective work.• Training hands-on staff of correct moving and handling techniques.• Administering, recording, and ordering medication.• Reviewing the care needs of customers and creating care plans for new admissions.• Performing initial Mental Capacity assessments.• Liaising with other health and social care providers (GP, district nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, social workers, etc.) to ensure customer welfare and needs are met.• Handing over of the shift and passing all the relevant information about incidents, accidents and current changes of residents’ well-being.
