Strong background in geology, with over 18 years of experience in the mining industry. Currently, I'm employed as the Superintendent of Underground Mine Geology and Chief Mine Geologist at Wesdome Gold Mines, where I'm responsible for overseeing the Geology Department and its various activities. Previously, I have held roles such as Senior Production Geologist and Team Lead at Newmont Corporation, Senior Underground Mine Geologist at Alamos Gold Inc., Senior Underground Geologist at Canadian Royalties Inc. and Endeavour Mining. I also worked as an Exploration Geologist at GENIVAR, Geological Engineer at SGS, and Staff Geologist at Bodycote. My early career experiences include positions as an Assistant Geologist and Trainee in geological hazards and natural disaster management at the University of Geneva, as well as a Geological Engineer Trainee at Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne. Overall, my diverse work experience showcases their expertise in various aspects of geology, particularly in the mining sector.My educational background in the field of geology and geological hazards management. I obtained a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Geology from the University of Geneva in 2004. I then pursued further studies at the EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) and obtained a Master's degree in Engineering Geology from 2005 to 2007.In 2006, I also attended the University of Geneva, where I obtained a postgraduate degree in Management and Study of Geological Risks (CERG-University of Geneva). That demonstrates my interest in management and study of geological hazards.Prior to my studies in Switzerland, I completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Natural Sciences at the University Cheikh Anta Diop of Dakar (UCAD) in Senegal from 1995 to 1998. This provides me with a diverse educational foundation in both geology and natural sciences.In addition, I acquired several certifications to enhance my professional expertise. Notably, I obtained certifications such as Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO) and OGQ from Quebec.
