The Middle East, Russia and CIS countries are attracting more than half of the attacks performed or received on ICS/OT infrastructure.As an ICS Security Consultant , I’m working closely with endusers as well as partners to mitigate the existing and upcoming threats working with best of breed products available. The job requires a different skillsets apart from IT as well as a new approach to these type of endusers. On the reseller side, I have to work hard to transfer the insights to partners too.

As a Business Unit Manager for security, I was running multiple teams of product managers (Fortinet, F5, Infoblox, Imprivata, Vasco), pre-sales and post-sales across multiple different countries. My time was decided between building the reseller channel, vendor management and direct touch with large enterprise and telecom companies. On the vendor's side, I had to make sure their expectations from revenue to channels are made.

Taking care of Fortinet was a natural move for me. Coming from Netscreen (Juniper) and Cisco, Fortinet was the latest product in the security market and first UTM. I had to build the channel partners and revenue and references from scratch.

I was handling the Firewall and IDS line and my job was to meet up clients and consult them about Firewall and IDS (which was not a very common product back then).I also had to train partners and end users.
