I am a graduate from University of Lincoln in the UK with a bachelor’s degree and my RIBA part 1 in the study of architecture, and I have completed my RIBA part 2 at the University of East London. Having spent some time during my first placement year gaining experience from a company based in Dubai, I am now looking to secure a full time job opportunity to build on my experience.My interest in architecture began during my secondary studies when I was considering what I wanted to do at higher education level. Over the course of my studies I has started to show an interest in the subject of art & design, therefore I wanted to go into a field of work where I could use my artistic ability. I was drawn to architecture because it allowed me to further explore my creativity. I was fortunate to get work experience with the architectural firm Bell Associates within my locality. During my time there I was able to get a feel for the architectural world, and was give some projects to work on such as designing a music room for a primary school and a block of flats in London. With my work experience complete I realized that this is what I want to do.In 2012 I was given the opportunity to work for a small architectural firm in Dubai, UAE for 5 months, where I was able to put my model making skills to good use and understand how the architectural process works in the UAE. As well as model making I was given an introduction to Autodesk Revit, and also had a major design influence for a competition design brief which was for a new mosque in an area of the UAE for rulers of Abu Dhabi. Over the course of the five month I had very much impressed my employers with my work.Since completing my Part 2 studies I have over the last few years built up my experience for a few different practices while gaining knowledge in the residential, retail, aviation and educational sectors, but also eager to continue learning different things and master multiple software's to enhance my career.
