During my high school years, I found myself more at school than at home, as I was immersed in extracurricular activities that fueled my love for learning. My teachers were supportive and inspiring, and as a result, I developed a strong passion for education. Because I had educators that impacted my life, I pursued my Bachelor of Music Education so that I could one day change lives the way they changed mine. After two years of teaching, I desired to have influence on a broader scale and transitioned into the non-profit sector. Over the last five years, I've worked with organizations that share my value for education. Additionally, I have recently earned my MBA which is helping me serve the non-profit community more effectively and strategically.Today I work as the Donor Relations Manager at Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana. In my current role, I manage the donor database, develop procedures and reports to help enhance donor relationships, and use creative thinking and problem solving to help the foundation achieve its goals, which in turn helps the organization execute programs to further their mission.Previously, I proudly served the percussion community as Programs Manager at the Percussive Arts Society. During my time as Programs Manager, I oversaw all competitions, scholarships, and events for percussionists worldwide, including our international convention, and worked closely with our marketing department to develop and execute campaigns year-round. Logistics coordination and scheduling were my specialty, though I was also well-versed in website content management and highly logical form building.Before entering the non-profit sector, I was the Assistant Director of Percussion at Rockwall ISD in Rockwall, TX, and taught 6th-12th grade percussion. My experience as a music educator has been incredibly valuable to me throughout my career, as I can better understand how to effectively communicate with and tailor information to personalities of all types.I’m eager to connect with new people and learn from them, so let’s grab a coffee and chat! ☕️✨
