Full-time English professor at Glendale Community College teaching hybrid and online freshman composition, literature, and journalism courses. Previously spent four years as the Faculty Director of the Center for Teaching, Learning and Engagement collaborating, coordinating, and strategizing with the Instructional Designer, CTLE Staff, Faculty Developers, the eCourses faculty lead, and serving as the liaison with academic departments and other divisions/areas across the college. Headed the CTLE Advisory committee. Currently serves as eCourses Faculty Lead for the college and head the campus eCourses committee and elearning initiatives.Alisa previously served as an assistant chair - eCourses coordinator for the English Department and worked with faculty to create and/or improve their online and hybrid courses. She also evaluated all online/hybrid instructors and courses in the English department. She completed a research project on discussion tools in online/hybrid courses as a MIL Fellow (2012-13). Alisa briefly served as interim instructional technologist for the Title V grant at Phoenix College working with faculty to develop hybrid and online course modules. In the past, Alisa has also worked as an advisor for the ELI 7 Things publication and conducted webinars and in-person workshops on Blended Course Design, Social Media, and Cloud-Based Technologies for Academic Impressions. She is a Quality Matters certified reviewer and conducts QM reviews on hybrid and online courses in the district.
