Family Planning Advocates of New York State, now Planned Parenthood of Empire State, was a non-profit statewide membership organization dedicated to protecting and expanding access to a full range of reproductive health services. FPA represents and is primarily funded by New York's Planned Parenthood affiliates, with additional support from member family planning clinics and dozens of sister organizations, as well as thousands of individual members across the state.

The New York AIDS Coalition (NYAC) is an alliance of community-based service providers and their supporters working for increased funding and fair policies for people living with HIV/AIDS in New York State.NYAC was founded in 1988 to overcome the overwhelming information and communication gaps that exist between community-based organizations and policy makers in New York State. Today, NYAC has approximately 200 members and is committed to advancing a community-based, frontline response to the HIV/AIDS epidemic.Directed Statewide policy and advocacy efforts to improve the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS. I designed and implemented statewide lobby days, trained community members in advocacy and policy skills, and advised the Governor and state agency staff in HIV/AIDS policy. I also served as the organization's lead media contact.
