Draft petition to South African administrative agency to challenge off-shore natural gas development.

Conduct research on pipeline safety laws and preemption in support of state order to shut down Line 5 pipeline; evaluate removal to federal court in state public trust cases and climate change lawsuits by states and localities; assess Clean Water Act enforcement options on behalf of tribal nation client.

Co-found law student organization dedicated to 1) hold the legal industry accountable for its role in exacerbating global climate change; 2) build a legal industry committed to a just, livable future. Co-author the 2020 Law Firm Climate Change Scorecard, the first scorecard to rank top law firms on their work driving the climate crisis.

Conduct legal research to support ongoing federal, state and, global litigation to secure the legal right to a healthy atmosphere and stable climate. Research on Canadian Charter law, justiciability in Canadian federal court, political question doctrine in U.S. state and federal courts, standing in U.S. federal courts, and the Montana Environmental Policy Act.

Co-author Supreme Court amicus brief arguing that U.S. corporations can be held liable for human rights violations under the Alien Tort Statute; Coauthor amicus briefs on behalf of former U.S. government officials to: 1) support plaintiffs in Mayor and City Council of Baltimore v. BP P.L.C., et al. (climate change tort lawsuit). 2) defend the state of California and their cap and trade linkages program with Quebec in United States v. California.

Support ongoing litigation and develop case strategy as part of U.S. Clean Air / Climate Team. Conduct legal research and write legal memoranda on the Clean Air Act, National Environmental Policy Act, and other topics in administrative law and civil procedure.

Selected for Dartmouth General Fellowship to conduct fully-funded research project in partnership with EcoLogic Development Fund and Fondo Ambiental Regional de la Chinantla, Oaxaca (FARCO). Researched, wrote, and presented report on sustainable income generation from tropical forests in the Chinantla Region of Oaxaca. Assisted with National Geographic grant-funded project on community forestry in the Chinantla. Helped lead community capacity building workshops on forest monitoring with rural indigenous communities and supported Mavic 2 Pro drone flights to analyze forest cover.

For government and not-for-profit clients in the United States, Latin America and Southern Africa, analyze climate change projections and multi-sectoral impacts of climate change, model the impacts of air pollution on human health and economic outcomes, analyze flooding hazards, and develop databases of water and sanitation infrastructure. Utilize Matlab, Analytica, GIS, Stata, and Excel to analyze large data sets, understand air pollution burden across sectors and geographic area, and to visualize watershed characteristics and watershed management practices.

Assist in client and class member outreach, review key documents and social media for Volkswagen and Audi 2.0L TDI Diesel Emissions Settlement. Research U.S. environmental statutes including the Toxic Substances Control Act and National Environmental Policy Act, conduct literature reviews, and perform data analysis in Excel for several environmental cases at the firm.

Selected as one of ten Dartmouth Dickey Center International Interns. Received full funding for an 8 week internship with Runa Foundation working on a variety of projects related to sustainable forest management and farmer livelihoods in the Napo Region of Ecuador. Responsibilities and projects include:• Design and pilot household financial tool to record weekly spending, income, and savings.
