My research internship revolved around fabrication of nanotips, which served as electron guns in advanced electron microscopy applications. And characterizing it using Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). These fabricated nanotips underwent a two-step investigation. Initially, the nanotips were subjected to voltage to initiate electron emission, allowing for the observation and quantification of electron counts. This step provided valuable insights into the field emission properties of the nanotips under controlled electrical conditions.Subsequently, in a highly controlled environment within an ultra-high vacuum chamber, the nanotips were exposed to femtosecond laser pulses. This phase of the experiment aimed to explore the interaction dynamics between the nanotips and laser pulses.

Explored heat dissipation in Polymer/Silica nanocomposites by analyzing simulated data using Fortran. This multidisciplinary approach enhanced my understanding of nanoscale thermal behavior of these nanocomposites, with implications for material engineering and advanced applications.

Conducted laser ablation on gold, utilizing laser pulses to generate gold nanoparticles by passing liquid through the subjected gold. Employed various techniques to analyze and refine the particles, characterizing them through Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM). These non-toxic gold nanoparticles exhibit unique light emission characteristics, making them promising for medical applications.
