I am passionate about lifting up those who use their talents as a force for good and I founded Unity Web Agency to do just that.In a nutshell, my team and I create inclusive and accessible websites for nonprofits and socially responsible businesses. If you dig deeper, you’ll find that we aren’t just another web agency. We love working with organizations that serve marginalized communities, women-owned businesses, and Certified B Corporations. Plus, we think it’s important to hire locally. So although we work remotely, everyone lives in North Carolina and in the Triangle.Ultimately, I wanted to create a place where everyone felt like they belonged and were part of something bigger than themselves. I did that by seeking out team members, clients, and partners who align with these values. At Unity, we believe that businesses do better when we embrace ALL people for who they are as authentic human beings.When I’m not busy making the internet radically inclusive, one website at a time, I think hard about how I can be an advocate for neurodivergent business owners. Having been recently diagnosed with Autism and ADHD, I am learning how to navigate the world of work without succumbing to the toxic hustle culture, which pervades many creative agencies and which has never felt good to me. I am nothing if not a leader who walks her talk.In addition, I am the Co-Founder of Unit of Impact, a platform for measuring social impact and creating compelling impact reports for public benefit corporations, B Corps, and mission-driven companies. And I’m proud to have been recognized by the North Carolina Business Council with a 2020 Leadership in Business Sustainability award. Most importantly, I am a HUMAN. I have an MS in Library Science from UNC-Chapel Hill and a BS in Psychology from Appalachian State University.
