As a SaaS subscription-based company, Submittable has a large volume of transactional data. As their Accounting Manager, I provided oversight of daily accounting functions using NetSuite ERP, including multi-state payroll, financial data analysis, management report preparation and compliance with US GAAP and ASC 606 revenue recognition standards. In addition, I assisted with audits, tax returns, and process and procedural improvements, specifically in the area of A/P automation.

ERA Lambros Real Estate is the premier real estate firm and market leader in Western Montana. As their Controller, I was responsible for the accounting department and accuracy of financial statements & audits, and I worked with the broker-owners to provide business analytics, as well as track bank financing and debt ratios to support compliance, stability and growth. On a daily basis, I worked to ensure the firm was optimizing cash and working capital, and was in compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements. I developed policies and procedures for the accounting department workflow.Additionally, I provided oversight of employee payroll processing, including State and Federal reporting; assisted in obtaining necessary business licenses and insurance; and monitored cash flow and expenditures against the operational budget.

I worked as a Manager in the tax practice at Wipfli LLP, where I specialized in international tax consulting and compliance. I supported tax services by providing consulting and accounting assistance to individuals and their businesses, including corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships.

At The Henry Levy Group, I supported the preparation of federal and state income tax returns for corporations, partnerships, tax-exempt organizations and individuals, and provided business consulting concerning corporate structuring and tax planning.

At Spott, Lucey & Wall Inc., I provided accounting and compliance services to individuals, multi-state professional service corporations, closely held corporations, foreign corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships with a focus on international tax and cross-border transactions.

As Senior Operations Manager, I oversaw many office administrative processes, including contracts, employee payroll and benefits, bookkeeping and general support to the CEO and Senior Staff. I assisted with the Afterschool 4 All evaluation, and conducted site visits and oversaw the distribution and collection of annual satisfaction surveys at over 30 after school programs in Contra Costa County.

As Executive Assistant, I managed the CEO's calendar and worked closely with her to develop the annual budget and manage office expenditures. In 2009, I prepared a successful loan application to the SBA to finance the new RDA offices in downtown Oakland. I coordinated and oversaw the design, construction and move of the office and worked with the IT Department to upgrade computer hardware/software and telephone systems.

As the native-English speaking teacher with the Little Dragon English Company, I developed curricula for courses taught to young (ages 3 – 7) monolingual Chinese school children, and provided after-school instruction to classes of 15 – 20 students. As a side job, I was contracted with a family to provide short-term, intensive one-on-one tutoring to two young students.

During my college years, I worked in an Agroecology lab where I assisted professors and graduate students in their research projects. My favorite project was run by Joji Muramoto, who studies sustainable organic farming to help Central Coast farmers combat diseases that infect their strawberry crops.
