I began my professional journey in Social Work in Child Welfare, with a deep commitment to advocating for others. I went from a front line case manager, to Director of Social Services for special needs foster youth. I worked as an Independent Consultant helping small agencies interpret state mandates and contract changes and a Shift Commander in a juvenile facility. It was through those varying roles, that I honed my ability to navigate complex interpersonal dynamics, mediate challenging situations, and foster trust in sensitive environments. These experiences shaped my approach to problem-solving and taught me the power of active listening, empathy, and fairness—skills that are the cornerstone of my work today in Human Resources, particularly in Employee Relations.Transitioning into HR allowed me to channel my passion for creating supportive environments in the workplace. My unique perspective stems from blending my social work roots with my expertise in HR.
