Created and managed the social media strategy for SNAP-Ed's social marketing campaign Celebrate Your Plate funded by the USDA. Visited SNAP-Ed classes across the state to promote the campaign and conduct focus groups. Worked with a third-party research group to analyze preliminary data to make any adjustments needed and to ensure tasks stayed on track. Participated and coordinated in recipe selection, testing, cost and nutrition facts breakdown, recipe videos and food photography. Managed educational incentive ordering and shipping to Ohio’s 88 counties. Worked with a marketing agency to place convient store posters, shelf talkers and digital advertisements in SNAP eligible zip codes.

Responsible for all social media and marketing content including the branch’s web and Facebook pages. Graphically design informational content including flyers, banners, schedules, and educational boards.Serve as the liaison of Marketing/Social Media and Membership between the branch and YMCA of Central Ohio.Create and promote information on social media platforms including job openings, upcoming events, and happenings around the branch to communicate best with our members.Respond to emails and messages left from members by answering questions they may have and being attentive to their needs.Post, monitor, and update job postings for the branch as well as communicate with potential hires.

Meet with members one on one to talk about their health and fitness goals.Provide promotional health bulletins monthly for members of the Y and am always open for questions.Assist the Fitness Coordinator with needs involving creating group exercise calendars and collaborates with ideas needed for the department.

Responsible for communicating as a cause-driven leader and role model for other staff and members when it comes to desired staff behaviors; promote youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility in all job-related functions. I supervised and implemented the curriculum including leading activities and assisting with planning and assessments. Establish relationships with families, staff and host and greet each child and parent daily; communicated professionally with families, staff and children. I maintained program environment and equipment and observed children to create the curriculum and assessments.

Assisting in Before and After School Care for 1st-5th grade students and ensuring that elementary school students of the Olentangy School District have a safe and fun place to be dropped off early from school or picked up late from school. We ensure the children have 20 min of physical activity while they're with us as well as a healthy snack.

I conducted the "Wellness Wall" and "Wellness Center" bulletin boards every month with nutrition tips for summer and fall, healthy recipes to fit the time of year, the pros and cons to pre-workout, and why post-workout nutrition is important. I also coordinated and spoke at my "Healthy Adventures for Active Adults" senior seminar where we talked about nutrition after 50. Topics covered in the seminar were: vitamin B12, whole grains, hydration, types of fats, and calcium, complete with handouts for them to take home so they could reference what we went over. I also assisted the YMCA Kids Camp by doing a nutrition lesson and healthy snack with them every Friday morning, making all the children a "cookbook" compiled of all the recipes we used throughout the summer.

My responsibilities included making informational sheets about fresh, frozen, and canned produce, compiling information about the Local Matter Cooking Matters classes into a packet to send to potential satellite partners, co-coordinate a Cooking Matters class in Columbus, OH, and research potential new satellite partners for Local Matters and No Kid Hungry.
