I am a philanthropic advisor, coach, trainer and healer. I am the founder and managing director of Greater Good Philanthropy, a consulting firm on a mission to inspire progressive philanthropists to become extraordinary allies, partners and decision-makers in our shared pursuit of equity and liberation. I use creativity, empathy and dynamic educational content to expose philanthropists to the effects of systemic oppression and privilege on their thinking, giving and decision-making.I am a social justice OG and a self-proclaimed philanthro-geek. I've worked for nonprofits and foundations for over 20 years and in many roles. I've been a program officer, program manager, capacity builder, philanthropic advisor, fundraiser, facilitator and thought partner. As a program officer at the Women’s Foundation of California and the Jewish Community Federation, I managed multi-million dollar grant portfolios. At the same time, I too am a philanthropist. I've been a member of a giving circle supporting California-based women’s organizations working at the intersection of race, gender and class for over a decade. As a group, my circle has awarded almost $2 million.I am a certified life coach and a 21/64 certified philanthropic facilitator and trainer. I hold a Master of Arts in Nonprofit Management from the University of San Francisco and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I've been published numerous times including in the Stanford Social Innovation Review and the National Center for Family Philanthropy.
