Our focus is to highlight female role models in local communities to encourage more female participation in business, sports, media and tech. With a team of local organizers, I put together our inaugural Pakistan edition hosted at the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) campus in Lahore. I lead the efforts to:- Assemble a speakers panel of local and international thought leaders hailing from academia, media, corporate sector, public sector and even some social activists.- Onboarding strategic sponsors and partners, including Uber Pakistan as the title sponsor, Levi's as the wardrobe partner, FM 91 as the media partner and LUMS as the venue partner.- Deliver the event logistics, end-to-end; from registrations to security, to speaker management, to catering and post-event wrap up.- Liaise with the media on pre, during and post event coverage.This was the first event of its kind in Lahore, a major cultural centre in Pakistan. We had important and occasionally heated conversations about how we can co-create a more gender balanced society, in the Pakistani context. -
